SEO
Search engine optimisation. Ranking at the top of Google when someone searches for what you sell.
AEO
Answer engine optimisation. Being the answer, not one of the ten blue links below it.
GEO
Generative engine optimisation. Getting mentioned when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity for advice.
I make you findable with SEO, GEO & AEO
I write copy that Google understands, AI models quote and people read to the end.
Google, ChatGPT and your customer have one thing in common: they tune out at vague waffle. All three want clear language, a logical structure and claims that hold up. That is not a trick, just good writing, and as a copywriter, editor and SEO, AEO and GEO specialist in Maastricht, with three books to my name, I have made it my job.
About me
What I do
First understand what it's about, then write. That led to three books and work for NieuweStroom, Holland Sail, Garden Connect, Mickey Blue and Language Partners, among others.
Writing
Copy with humour and empathy, from someone who first sinks her teeth into your field. I did that for sailing ships, energy contracts and children's clothing. None of those subjects turned out to be boring, only the copy that was already there.
SEO, AEO and GEO
Writing is fun, but ranking is what counts, especially now that AI helps decide who gets mentioned. I work on substance: keyword research, structure, schema markup and copy that answers real questions.
Websites & campaigns
Websites in WordPress, Wix and Shopify, built to be found, not just to look pretty. Plus LinkedIn campaigns that aim for enquiries rather than impressions, where every euro counts.
Everything I do

What I write
I research everything thoroughly before I write. For clients that covers just about anything, from children's clothing to sailing trips. My opinion pieces are about women's rights, feminism and anything else I have strong views on.

Start Giving a Damn
By Ben Steenstra. About giving up on half-hearted work and starting something you truly stand behind. My role: editing.

A Damn Good Business
The sequel, by Ben Steenstra. About building a business that holds up, even when nobody is watching. My role: editing.

Vloot vol Verhalen
Holland Sail, 2026. Hardcover, 96 pages. My role: interviewing skippers, writing up their stories and gathering images, together with others.
This is where the homepage ends, not the conversation.
I work from Maastricht for organisations with a small marketing team, for experts and for entrepreneurs who want to look beyond a list of keywords. My first question is always the same: what is your website not doing that it should be doing?
